Why help with the Gala? 

Because the vitality of our neighborhood middle school affects our entire community. Your involvement will impact education, property values, community spaces, and the most fundamental needs of kids all in one simple check. Sponsoring the Hill Gala is an incredible opportunity to do just that.

Located at Clermont Street and 5th Avenue, Hill is a traditional DPS middle school. Our population comes from over 20 elementary schools; more than half of them qualify for free and reduced lunch, and a significant portion of our students are English language learners. In addition to traditional and honors core classes, Hill offers a robust selection of electives: Science & Engineering, Spanish, PE, Visual Arts, Theatre, Band, Orchestra and Choir.

The impact of our school reaches far beyond the classroom. At Hill we share our resources. From offering our auditorium for public speakers, to providing warm clothing to students and their siblings, we take our responsibilities to our community seriously.

In order to serve our students and the community they come from, we are fundraising in a variety of areas.
•We are completing the second phase of our outdoor patio/classroom
•We are contributing to our Hill Cares basic needs fund which provides food, clothing, holiday gifts, bus passes and school supplies to students who need them. 
•We are investing in the technology arm of our library, allowing us to take additional advantage of online resources. 
•We are establishing a travel/field trip fund to allow our students access to places and experiences beyond the Hill walls.
